Director of the Psycho Social Directorate
Mr. Ayele Shemeles Haile
The Directorate Director of the Rehabilitation Program Directorate oversees a team of 30 social workers and is primarily responsible for delivering social and psychological support to women who are vulnerable due to social and economic challenges. The directorate aims to address these issues through problem-solving initiatives, capacity building, and expanding rehabilitation services at the center. It is tasked with developing uniform screening criteria for admitting clients, organizing and analyzing client data while maintaining confidentiality, and providing psychological and socio-economic assistance to commercial sex workers, individuals struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, and other women in poverty. The directorate works in collaboration with relevant bodies to offer vocational training to disabled individuals capable of working, as well as adult education and access to essential services such as technology, infrastructure, justice, and other social and economic resources for women living in difficult conditions. Additionally, the directorate conducts case management surveys to support behavioral change among clients, carries out needs assessments for trainees, and provides life skills training. It also identifies and addresses gaps in vocational training and develops guidelines, manuals, and checklists to improve service delivery. Coordination with related work units is a key part of ensuring effective implementation of its programs.
